Is the Fitness Reality 2000 the Right Weight Bench for Your Home Gym?

The Fitness Reality 2000 is the new and improved version of the acclaimed Fitness Reality 1000.

Fitness Reality had a hit on their hands with the 1000 version of this weight bench. It received thousands of positive reviews on Amazon. People praised its build quality and high weight capacity (900 lbs!)

But there was one issue that kept showing up in the reviews for that bench. The Fitness Reality 1000 has a gap between the headrest and the bench which many people didn’t really care for.

Fitness Reality took the feedback from the 1000, used it to improve their design and thus the 2000 model was born!

The Fitness Reality 2000 Super Max XL has an 850lb weight limit, seven levels of adjustable incline and decline and NO GAP no matter what position the bench is in!

Quality of Build

The Fitness Reality 1000 earned its celebrated status at least partially because of its high build quality, and the 2000 model is no exception.

This weight bench is built with 2” x 3” steel and is meant to last a lifetime.

Its 850lb weight limit means you can feel comfortable getting serious and lifting HEAVY!

Storability

Storability is important in a home gym setting.

Luckily, this bench folds almost totally flat, so it can be stowed under a bed, in a closet or just out of the way in the corner.

Plus, the leg developer can be totally removed, making the whole thing even more compact.

Fitness Reality 1000 vs 2000

The Fitness Reality 1000 is one of the best reviewed adjustable weight benches on Amazon. Seriously, the original 1000 model has almost 8000 reviews and a super impressive 4.7/5 overall score.

Does the Fitness Reality 2000 live up to the hype of the original?

In my opinion? Absolutely!

The 2000 has an upgraded weight capacity compared to the 1000 and eliminates the gap between seat and backrest that was one of the only complaints people had about the 1000 model.

The new model is pretty much a straight upgrade.

The price is a little bit higher, but what do you expect? You get what you pay for.

Either model will make a great addition to your home gym if you need a quality adjustable weight bench. I personally prefer the Fitness Reality 2000 over the 1000, but if your budget calls for something slightly less expensive, then you’re not going to regret purchasing the Fitness Reality 1000.

Assembly

Assembly is super simple, which means less time spent putting this thing together and more time getting buff!

One thing to note is that the bench comes with two different options for back rests, so you can decide which one will be a better fit for you. I would recommend going with the wider option for the majority of people.

Fitness Reality has really impressed me by listening to and addressing the feedback from their customers. Not every company will go to the same lengths.

The 1000 model is a great bench, and the fact that Fitness Reality has taken the time to improve upon the design has resulted in a super high quality bench.

The high weight limit, storability and adjustability combine to make this a great option for your home gym. The new no-gap design is a nice cherry on top!
