PORTALES, N.M. -- Midwestern State scored an 83-77 win over Eastern New Mexico earlier this season in Wichita Falls, and the Mustangs hope to complete a season sweep when they meet the Greyhounds on Thursday. Tipoff at Greyhound Arena is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CST).

LAST MEETING | Freshmen Dyamon Griggs and Maya Kendall combined for 40 points to lead Midwestern State to an 83-77 win over Eastern New Mexico at D.L. Ligon Coliseum on Jan. 7. Midwestern State used a six-point possession at the beginning of the second half to construct a double-digit lead. Eastern New Mexico was whistled for a technical foul for having six players on the floor following a substitution. MSU's Natalie Stice hit four consecutive free throws, and Jordan Mathis hit a runner down the left side of the paint give the Mustangs a 45-33 lead with 8:16 remaining in the period. Midwestern State freshman Dyamon Griggs matched a career high with 26 points and polished off her fourth collegiate double-double with 12 rebounds. The Mustangs won their third straight game over Eastern New Mexico at D.L. Ligon Coliseum, where they have won nine of the last 10 encounters dating back to the 2010-11 season.
LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State's Eternity Jackson scored a career-high 15 points in an 87-78 loss to West Texas A&M Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligono Coliseum. Jackson was 5 of 8 from the field with a 3-pointer to lead the Mustangs. It was Jackson's third double-digit performance of the season. MSU freshman Dyamon Griggs logged her fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds despite being limited to 21 minutes.
